On November 12, the seventh day of the season was played in which the Alconchel youth team faced CD Puerta Palmas at their Badajoz field ‘Eusebio Bejarano Vilaro’.
A priori, given their position in the standings, those from Alconchel arrived in Badajoz with the aim of achieving the three points, but the locals did not make it easy for them. And that was the case from the beginning, when in the first minute Puerta Palmas scored a goal that put David Piñana’s team on alert.
As the first half was about to end, the tying goal came from Daniel Verón, which helped Alconchel regain its self-esteem in a match with a very even game in which anything could happen.
In the 90th minute came Puerta Palmas’ goal that sealed a match in which the local team took the lead, snatching three points from Alconchel that allowed them to remain second from bottom in the group’s overall standings.
